Connect2Culture Presents ... Arkansauce

Arkansauce isn’t something you order on a sandwich. It’s a sound shaped by the hills and rivers of the Ozarks. Think of rushing creeks, winding back roads and long summer nights, all coming together. That is where you start to get close to what the group calls newgrass. Their music blends bluegrass, folk and funk.
The four members, Tom Andersen on bass, Zac Archuleta on guitar, Ethan Bush on mandolin and Adams Collins on banjo, bring together melodies, instrumental breaks and a steady rhythm. Each member also sings, sharing both lead and harmony parts across their music.
Their music is shaped by where they come from and the time they spend on the road.

“We are a band that spends most of our time in the back of a van hurtling toward long nights, good times and a destiny unknown,” says Ethan. “Our inspiration is gathered by events unfolding in our own adventures in real time. These days, the desire to create, inspire and redefine within our scene seems to be the main driving force behind our music. From a young age, we were huge fans of live music and were introduced to a lot of great music by our families.”
The show will take place outdoors on the Leggett and Platt Green, with music under the stars and plenty of room to settle in and enjoy the evening.
Guests have a few options for seating. VIP tickets include a rental chair along with guaranteed indoor seating if the weather doesn’t cooperate. General admission tickets are available with a chair rental or without for those who prefer to bring their own. You are also welcome to bring a blanket and choose your own spot.
If you do decide to bring your own chair instead of using a reserved rental, let the staff know at check-in. Bonus, you’ll get a free soda as a thank you.
This is a great opportunity to welcome our neighbors from Arkansas and experience their unique style, and maybe even discover a new kind of music you’ll love along the way.
