Thank you to everyone who entered their adorable pets in the 17th Annual Pet Contest! All proceeds from the entry fees go to Joplin Humane Society and Faithful Friends Animal Advocates. All the pets are winners in our eyes!

1st Place – Chance
Congrats to our first-place winner, Chance! This 11-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is as lovable as they come. A recent rescue, Chance has only been with his owner, Teigan Larson, for a month, but he’s already a perfect fit for the family. Great with kids, affectionate and always ready for a cuddle, he wins over everyone he meets: two-legged or four-legged. He even has a picture-perfect trick: when you make a noise, he tilts his head just so, making every photo irresistible.

2nd Place – Mini
Mini is our second-place winner! This sweet and spirited regular short-haired tabby with Manx traits is as unique as she is adorable: born without a tail and full of personality. Mini is about 4 years old and she quickly won over her owner, Heather Leake, by jumping right into her lap the very first time they met on the back porch. Playful, affectionate and always eager for attention, Mini has truly found her perfect home, and Heather says she’s simply the best.

3rd Place – Wicket Bear
Congrats to our third-place winner, Wicket Bear! This 4½-year-old part Pomeranian, part Shih Tzu is full of personality: playful, fun and just a little dramatic, earning him the title of “drama king.” Known for his expressive “sonar ears” that move and stick straight up, Wicket Bear always keeps his family smiling. A Star Wars-inspired name was a must for owners Nikki and Tim Head, and with his teddy-bear looks, naming him after the most famous Ewok, Wicket, was a perfect fit.

Facebook Fan Favorite – Ross
This 7-year-old Yorkie Terrier may be new to his owner, Jasmine Sanchez (she adopted him just a few months ago), but he has already stolen her heart. A true lap dog who loves attention, Ross is spoiled in the best way and rarely spends a moment alone. Jasmine takes him everywhere, often riding in style in his stroller, and next month, he’ll be starting obedience classes. Sweet, calm and always by her side, Ross is living his very best life. Congrats to our Facebook Fan Favorite, Ross!
