With strong family support, especially from her husband, she’s now cancer-free and gives back by encouraging others and making turbans for those losing hair. Kelly’s message: stay hopeful, positive, and lean on others for strength.

Dee Sallee shares her breast cancer journey to help others overcome fear and emphasizes the importance of early detection and advocacy for your health. After finding a lump in 2016, she underwent treatment and continues prevention efforts, encouraging survivors to support one another through their unique experiences.

Shannon Ingle was diagnosed with breast cancer at 36 after an early mammogram and chose a double mastectomy due to hormone-related tumors. Supported by faith, prayer, and family, she endured treatment with a positive outlook and now helps others through support groups and advocacy. Her message: “Keep positive. I’ve been there, and you can do this.”

The Vision Carthage Committee’s Carthage in Bloom initiative beautifies the city with vibrant flower beds around key public spaces like the courthouse, engaging volunteers and community partners to foster pride and encourage visitors to enjoy and stay longer in Carthage.
