2026 Aurora Business & Community Expo: A Celebration of Local Strength, Innovation and Community Spirit

Submitted by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce
Each spring, Aurora, Missouri, comes alive with a renewed sense of energy, optimism and hometown pride. This year, that spirit will be on full display at the 2026 Business & Community Expo, set for Saturday, March 28, at Aurora High School, 305 Prospect St. Running from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Expo promises to be one of the most vibrant community gatherings of the year—an event where local businesses, families and neighbors come together to celebrate everything that makes Aurora and the surrounding region such a remarkable place to live, work and grow.
With 50 businesses participating from Aurora and nearby communities, the Expo offers a unique opportunity to explore the heartbeat of our local economy. From innovative startups and family-owned shops to established service providers and community organizations, the event showcases the diversity, creativity and resilience that define our region.
And for families, the excitement doesn’t stop there. At noon, the Aurora Chamber of Commerce—along with generous community sponsors—will host a lively Easter Egg Scramble in the high school gym for children ages 0–10. It’s a joyful tradition that adds a burst of fun and color to an already dynamic day.
What follows is a closer look at what makes the 2026 Expo such a meaningful event for our community and why it continues to grow in popularity year after year.
In an era when online shopping and digital communication dominate daily life, events like the Business & Community Expo remind us of the power of personal connection. They give residents a chance to meet the people behind the storefronts, logos and websites—neighbors who invest in the community, support local causes and contribute to the area’s economic vitality.
The Expo also serves as a reminder that small towns thrive when residents support local businesses. Every purchase made locally strengthens the community by keeping dollars circulating close to home. It helps create jobs, fund schools and support public services. The Expo is a celebration of that cycle of support and a reminder that thriving communities are built on strong local foundations.
While the Expo is a major draw for adults, families with young children will find plenty to enjoy as well. The highlight for many is the Easter Egg Scramble, a beloved tradition that brings laughter, excitement and a touch of springtime magic to the day.

At noon, the high school gym will transform into a colorful playground filled with hundreds of Easter eggs. Children ages 0–10 are invited to participate, with age groups separated to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The Scramble is made possible through the support of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and a dedicated group of local sponsors who donate time, resources and prizes. For many families, it’s a cherished annual outing—a chance to make memories, snap photos and enjoy the simple joy of childhood excitement.
Parents can relax knowing the event is well-organized, supervised and designed with safety in mind. And once the Scramble concludes, families can return to the Expo floor to explore more booths, enjoy refreshments and continue the fun.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the Expo is the collaboration it represents. Schools, businesses, civic groups and volunteers come together to create an event that benefits everyone. Aurora High School provides a welcoming venue, the Chamber coordinates logistics and outreach, and local sponsors contribute resources that make the event possible.
This spirit of cooperation reflects the values that define Aurora: neighborliness, generosity and a shared commitment to building a strong future. The Expo is more than a business event—it’s a celebration of community identity.
Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, the 2026 Expo offers something for everyone. Visitors can look forward to:
Many businesses offer hands-on demonstrations, giveaways and product samples. It’s a great way to learn about services, try new products and engage directly with business owners.

Expo-only discounts and special offers are common, giving attendees a chance to save while supporting local businesses.
Professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders use the Expo as a chance to connect, collaborate and share ideas.
Local nonprofits, clubs and service organizations will be on hand to share information about programs, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events.
The Expo is designed to be accessible, friendly and enjoyable for all ages. Whether you’re browsing booths, chatting with neighbors or watching your children participate in the Easter Egg Scramble, the day is filled with positive energy.
As Aurora continues to grow and evolve, events like the Business & Community Expo play an important role in shaping the community’s future. They highlight the entrepreneurial spirit that drives local progress and provide a platform for new ideas to take root.
The 2026 Expo is expected to be one of the largest and most engaging yet, reflecting the momentum building throughout the region. With new businesses opening, established companies expanding and community organizations thriving, the Expo offers a snapshot of a community on the rise.
The 2026 Business & Community Expo is more than an event—it’s a celebration of everything that makes Aurora special.
