With a background in hospitality sales and marketing, she is passionate about promoting Joplin as a great place to live and work. Outside of work, she volunteers with the Spiva Center for the Arts and enjoys home projects and gardening.

Debra Anderson is the support services assistant at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, where she helps multiple departments with daily operations. She enjoys the variety in her work and the support of her team. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and researching genealogy.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States celebrates 20 years with the “Threads of Gold” themed Gift of Light Gift of Love tree-lighting event on November 8 at Northpark Mall in Joplin. The ceremony features dancers from Solomon Studio and the Missouri Southern State University Chorale, symbolizing the connection between families, donors, staff, and the medical community. The public is invited to attend and support through tree sponsorships.

The Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce and Region M Solid Waste Management District are hosting the second annual Shred-a-Palooza on November 10, from 9 am to noon at the Carl Junction Community Center. Residents and businesses can safely shred personal and business documents to protect against identity theft, with volunteers assisting and all shredded materials recycled. This free event welcomes all Four-State area participants.
