Doug Hall: An Artist’s Roots
Doug Hall, a nationally recognized oil painter rooted in Neosho, Missouri, draws deep inspiration from 18th-century Eastern Woodland Native Americans and the natural beauty of the Four-State Area. After a tornado destroyed his original cabin in 2001, Hall committed to painting full-time, eventually opening Doug Hall’s Log Cabin Gallery in 2015. His journey, which began with childhood art classes and chocolate donuts, came full circle with a celebrated mural unveiling at Neosho Public Library honoring the park where he sold his first painting.
